The Ironstone 100K coincides with the Huntingdon County Fireman’s Festival in Alexandria Saturday afternoon/evening. As a result, Main Street in Alexandria is closed, and you must access AS4 Alfarata via Route 22with most crews coming from AS2 via US22, this is easy peazy.

Once you’ve seen your runner off into the wild, consider refueling yourself:

Local Eats & Festival Fun

  • Food trucks & vendors at the Fireman's Festival

  • Paesano’s – 5731 William Penn Hwy (US-22)

  • Bluegills Bar & Grill – 214 Main St (Note: A 6PM parade may delay your trip)

  • Spruce Creek Tavern – 5450 Isett Rd, Spruce Creek just 7 minutes away

  • Or take a 12-minute drive into Huntingdon, PA for more options.

And don’t worry—you’ll have plenty of time to catch your runner again at Indian Steps. Between now and then lies one of the most diabolical segments of the course.
