Most of the Ironstone 100K follows just three main trails: the Lower Trail / 9-11 National Memorial Trail, the Mid State Trail (MST), and the Standing Stone Trail (SST)—MST and SST marked with orange blazes.

BUT there are a few key detours! One of the most important is Mile 38.8 to 45.2, where the course leaves the MST to make a safer crossing of PA-26.

Instead of following the Mid State directly across the highway, you’ll detour via Campbell, Lowry, Ironstone, and Jackson Trails—marked with Ironstone 100K signage and pink ribbon.

This video was taken at mile 39.7, where Campbell Trail crosses Harry's Valley Road to become Lowry Trail. DO NOT run down PA-26!

There will be trail marshals at the PA-26 crossing. If you miss the turn and head down the paved road, they will send you back up the hill to take the correct route.

Watch the video. Know the turn. Follow the blazes. Don’t get sent back!
