A courier dropped off several suspiciously heavy parcels on my stoop yesterday. Inside? The 2025 Ironstone 100K Participant Pint Glass.

Call it a thank you, or maybe an apology. Either way, it’s yours—after you finish... or DNF. A keepsake. A warning. A tribute to the bad decisions that brought you to this race.

This year's glass is an upgrade from 2023 (we still don’t speak of the printer incident last year, 2024). It features a full-wrap design in tactile relief, showcasing original art by trail legend Matt Lipsey. Among the dozen hidden details: the scales of the rattlesnake, the Broad Mountain fire tower, the bark and grime of The Indian Steps, and—my personal favorite—the internal chaos of a trimalleolar ankle fracture.

You'll get it at the finish line. No, we’re not making you carry it the whole way. We’re chaotic, not cruel.
