Medal? You want to know what our medals are made of?

Well, back in my day, we had a thing called metal. Not that cheap stuff made from recycled participation trophies and plastic dreams. I’m talking real-deal, forged-from-the-earth, clang-when-you-drop-it metal. Lunchboxes? Metal. Cars? Metal. Childhood playground injuries? Metal.

At Ironstone 100K, you’ll earn something worthy of the suffering: a freestanding slab of desk-conquering, soul-affirming, custom-cut metal. It’s not just a medal—it’s a miniature monument. Inspired by our logo, it features the forging hammer and the historic ieon furnaces, representing the brutality and rebirth you’ll face out there. It’s a symbol of your triumph over the rocks, roots, darkness, heat, hallucinations, and whatever other demons the course throws at you.

Hang it? No. Frame it? Please. This thing stands—just like you did when everything in your body begged you to quit.

Thanks to Joe Tackett at Tackett Metal Arts in Patton, PA for these works of art.
