If you’re planning to run Ironstone this July 11–12, lock in your lodging ASAP. This isn’t your typical race weekend as regional demand is about to spike in a big way.

What’s going on?

👉 A major multi-day event in Altoona / Hollidaysburg Taking place in the days leading up to and including race weekend, this soon-to-be-announced event is expected to draw 250,000+ visitors. That’s a massive influx for Blair County and will significantly tighten hotel and rental availability.

👉 Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts + People's Choice Arts Festival Happening July 8-12th in State College/Centre County, these events collectively attract 250,000+ visitors every year.

What this means for you:

  • Hotels will fill quickly across the region.

  • Prices may surge due to demand.

  • Last-minute options will be extremely limited (or nonexistent).

Bottom line:

If Ironstone is on your calendar, don’t wait—book your lodging now. Even if you’re still “thinking about it,” future you will be glad you did. Most lodging facilities allow you to cancel your reservation with little or no charge if you decide not to race.
