At Eastern States Trail-Endurance Alliance (ESTEA)—home of Eastern States 100, SHEastern States, Ironstone 100K, and the Eagleton Trail Challenge—we’re proud to be a local, all-volunteer, grassroots organization. Everything we do is built on stewardship: for our trails, for our trailrunners, and for the communities that support and sustain us.
One of our core missions is to strengthen unity and cooperation among trailrunners, fellow users of public lands, and the towns and organizations that welcome us into their forests, hollows, and ridgelines. Whether we live here year-round or pass through for a few unforgettable days, we owe an enormous thanks to the people who hold these wild places together—first responders, conservation groups, trail maintainers, local and state agencies, and community leaders.
So today, on Giving Tuesday, we’re doing what we believe in: giving back.
We are honored to support the following organizations with donations ranging from $1,000–$5,000:
Bald Eagle Boys Camp & Wilderness Road Therapeutic Camping Association
Bald Eagle Repeater Association (Amateur Radio)
Canoe Creek State Park (in cooperation with the Bronco Wild Fund)
Central PA Rails to Trails Association (Bridge Repairs on the Lower/9-11 National Memorial Trail)
Horseshoe Amateur Radio Club
Mid State Trail Association
Shavers Creek Valley Community Volunteer Fire Company
Sons and Daughters of Italy #146 Campground
Standing Stone Trail Club
Stone Creek Valley Volunteer Fire Company
Waterville Volunteer Fire Company
…and many other “urgent need” contributions made throughout the year.
We also want to recognize our partners and the organizations we support through awareness, advocacy, and promotion. Your work keeps our outdoor community thriving.
Finally, thank YOU. As an all-volunteer organization, it’s the proceeds from our events—and your generosity—that keep ESTEA grassroots, community-grateful, mission-driven, and fiercely independent.
Here’s to the trails, the towns, and the people who make it all possible.
